Our members typically founded one or more companies, had a large financial exit and are now navigating the realities of post-exit life. The normal phases include: great joy/relief, followed by a series of experiments, false starts and an ongoing search to replace the structure, meaning and purpose we had running our companies.

Post-exit, our members do what society expects of us: 

• we think about starting another business
• we volunteer with non-profits
• we delve into hobbies
• we invest in startups
• we mentor and advise
• we buy a bunch of stuff

When these don't bring happiness, we:

• Open a family office
• Buy a boat
• Start a non-profit
• Consider climbing Mt. Kilamanjaro
• Plan a multi-continent trip
• Create content
• Invest in more startups
• Regret investing in said startups
• Become an adjunct professor
• Learn Spanish
• Take drum / guitar lessons
• Buy 7 unnecessary cars
• Learn to fly an airplane
• Buy a plane
• Buy an RV
• Launch a venture studio
• Start a podcast
• Rescue dogs
• Buy a 2nd or 3rd or 4th house
• Renovate all houses
• Explore longevity
• Try psychedelics
• Go on a spiritual retreat
• Try to meditate daily
• Start a micro-SaaS / other VC fund
• Experiment with saunas and cold plunge
• Consider rolling up HVAC companies
• and generally fail at all of the above...
